Started by actor- director along with a friend, this is udipi thali gone punjabi. At Rs. 100 (plus taxes of Rs. 21) you get a wholesome meal that does not burn a hole in your pocket. They serve you three chutneys with some savouries and upma and Jal jeera to wash it down. Papd comes up along with three vegetables and two dals. You get tawa chapati and tandoori roti with melted ghee spreinkled on it generously. A small vati of curd followed by steamed rice and ending with a gulab jamun. The meal as the name promises is unlimited except the sweet dish option. A good meal and worth the money you eat cheap but dont feel like a loser in a run down dhaba. The place is a/c and has large fim posters along with Satish Kaushik's pictures down memory lane. The restaurant is situated right opposit the old time eating joints of Kake da Dhaba and National Hotel.

This restaurant, believe it or not, was started in 1947 and takes the credit of inventing the Butter Chicken. There are many Moti Mahals in Delhi but this is the original one. At present the decor and ambience seems to be frozen in '47. Even the staff seems to be from that era. But the food is great and of course i went there for the butter chicken which lived up to its promise. The tandoori chicken is also very good. A little steep at Rs. 125 for half the bird roasted and colored in red. Interestingly the color red of tandoori chicken is banned in Punjab for health reasons. The butter chicken is in a more acute angle of steepness and gives you half a plate for Rs. 175. But the meal is good comes out piping hot and satisfies the taste buds. There is a a/c section big enough to seat 70 and a open air section of equal size. The open area has live ghazal cum filmi sit down orchestra which entertains although you need to feel like a depressed talent scout.

Situated in the lobby of Hotel Sun-n-Sand, this is a small but very cosy bar. Overlooking the hotel pool, the bar has drawing room kind of seating with plush sofas. The bar counter is at the other end of the entrance with some bar stools. The place is full most of the days and is priced like a five star bar. But the good part is that it serves snacks and freebies which average out your bill and doesn't make it seem costly. First they serve a round bowl with three compartments filled with black grams (kabuli chana), peanuts and wafers. Mind you not chips, but wafers that are crisp and fresh as they make it in the hotel. The other veg/non-veg snacks keep doing the rounds and offered to guests not separate in a plate but just for the picking. The crowd is mostly business people and atmosphere is casual.

This pub is designed like a London modern pub. Frequented by the financial business district wheelers dealers. There are blaring TV sets giving out finance news or sports. Large bar in centre with stools along with very cushy upholstered sofa to lounge on. The Pub is situated in Hotel Marine Plaza's lobby and has good valet parking. The drinks are not very expensive and the starters are reasonable. They serve peanuts and nachos-salsa sauce free with drinks. This is a must visit for thirsty people after a hard days work just before they head home in the suburbs.
