Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Abhishek Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Bobby Deol, Shruti Seth and Amitabh Bachchan

Directed by: Shaad Ali

Release Date: 15 Jun 2007

23 Jun 2007 Ratings: 4 stars (out of 5)

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom doesn't have a good storyboard..It hardly makes any sense. The movie has managed to gross well because of it's star presence and some well-shot scenes. The songs are worth shaking and leave a hot impact on the audience.Yashraj Films have lost the substantial quality and suffers bad but just because of the lavish star-cast and the love-struck songs the movies are taking off..One can't even expect a meaningful storyline as there isn't one.. Abhishek Bachchan plays this Bhatinda guy and has really come in form and managed to survive his act well inspite of pathetic story..He's getting Freaky day-by-day after his marriage affair with Aishwarya and getting completely stolen away by her and you can see it in the movie the amount of passion he has.. Preity is lovely and appreciable and especially the chemistry between Aby-baby and Preity is a must-see.. I don't know what Mr.Bobby Deol was thinking off when he chopped of his tresses..he has this sick hair-style which overpowers his performance but yet he's OK in the film..then comes Lara Dutta who's quite confident throughout the movie but yet doesn't make a mark cause she's not in forefront.. The show-stealers are AB junior and Preity Zinta..that too just for the heck of it...But I think it's a one-time-go movie and makes you get high throughout the flick...especially the songs are too catchy!!

Mp3 Mera Pehla Pehla ..

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Ruslaan Mumtaz, Hazel.

Directed by: Robby Grewal

Release Date: 8 Jun 2007

23 Jun 2007 Ratings: 2 stars (out of 5)

Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar..is this cute..soft..mushy love story of a yet to bloom pair..who don't even understand the meaning of love..It's this cute love happening to them..But unfortunately it doesn't identify with today's blunt youth who don't hesitate to declare their love scene. The movie has a slow script and it's just so common which is a BIG drawback of the movie..The movie doesn't get hold of the audience and is a FLOP all the way.. The movie stars newcomers Ruslaan Mumtaaz...who's got this chocolate-boy charm and is yet to bloom and is not ripe enough as far as looks goes but still cute..the girl in the movie is Hazel who's done tonnes of ad-films but is just ignorable throughout the film..Anyways the title of the movie in itself is so..bugging that there only you lose interest and nothing really strikes your mind too see the movie ..But depends.. every movie has it's own audience ..so think before you see this film..

Eklavya The Royal Guard

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Saif Ali Khan, Vidya Balan, Raima Sen, Jimmy Shergill,Sharmila Tagore

Directed by: Vidhu Vinod Chopra

Release Date: 16 Feb 2007

23 Jun 2007 Ratings: 3 stars (out of 5)

Eklavya is a different attempt from Munnabhai maker Vidhu Vinod Chopra..It belongs to an unusual genre of movie and may appeal to a limited lot of massess who like period films..It's an Old era movie and has rich look to the movie especially the palace is too captivating. The movie has a not so well-etched script which could have done well if was well portrayed but demands complete concentration and can cause confusion if we loose out at a particular scene..There are too many characters in the movie and have very different look in the film..The deserts,camels,horses,costumes,locales..everything is so royal..And makes it look {KINGSIZE} but still it can't command to certain genre of masses who think this kind of an attempt is outdated ..I wouldn't recommend this movie cause it doesn't appeal to me but people who aren't aware but are interested in understanding Indian cultures, traditions and the various civilisations of Indian Fraternity are welcome to see this movie....

Aap Ki Khatir/for Your Sake

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Akshayye Khanna, Priyanka Khanna, Dino Morea, Amisha Patel, Lilette Dubey

Directed by: Dharmesh Darshan

Release Date: 25 Aug 2006

18 Jun 2007 Ratings: 2 stars (out of 5)

Aap Ki Khatir is a movie which is not at all bearable..It is a curse to Hindi Cinema and is very dissappointing..The movie is a BIG drama and has too many stuffed characters..nothing has been defined well nor story nor characters...The climax is predictable and over the top dramatized.. The movie stars Akshayye Khanna who's just OK and has given a decent performance..then comes Priyanka Chopra who's done too much of make-up and seems to be too loud..Dino Morea is too cute and has a very upto the mark look but has sidelined his acting..the last one is Amisha Patel who is in dire need of meaty roles and really needs to do something.. the songs are catchy but that cannot save the movie.......

Taxi No 9211

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: John Abraham, Nana Patekar, Sameera Reddy, Sonali Kulkarni

Directed by: Milan Luthria

Release Date: 24 Feb 2006

18 Jun 2007 Ratings: 3 stars (out of 5)

Taxi No 9211 is a very different script and stresses on two characters namely..John Abraham and Nana Patekar who have different plots in the movie and it's a typical mumbai-based movie which shows two people who are at different ends in life and the way they bump into each other and that's the way the story goes ahead...There is usage of typical mumbaiyya language in this movie...It's not a very good script but still tends to hold attention of cine-goers due to it's humour and astounding dialogue delivery..so go watch it!!

Directed by: Homi Adajania

Release Date: 24 Mar 2006

18 Jun 2007 Ratings: 3 stars (out of 5)

Being Cyrus is a Billingual fim..It's limited to certain kind of audience such as people who understand or make use of English language..It's a story about Cyrus(Saif Ali Khan) who wants to learn sculpting and stays with a Parsi family and falls in love with a member of a family who's Katy(Dimple Kapadia) throughout the story there are many different kind of circumstances in the movie where Cyrus is bribed for some crime etc....It's a different take and definitely appeals to the masses..though there are a few light moments too in the movie so it can be termed as Black comedy..It's good and worthwhile experience for people who like risky business...meaning experimental show..Good for seeing once for other people...

Dilwale Dulhania Le ..

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Amrish Puri,Farida Jalal. Mandira Bedi

Directed by: Aditya Chopra

Release Date: 20 Oct 2004

16 Jun 2007 Ratings: 5 stars (out of 5)

DDLJ is this BIG TIME BLOCKBUSTER..It creates ripples even today and is a movie which can be seen lots of times..DDLJ is this really romantic movie which featured Shahrukh Khan as male lead and Kajol as female..Shahrukh got really high on his career after this movie and girls couldn't stop doting on his dimples...Acting wise he's far too brilliant and is quite energetic and is really cute at expressions..There are so many scenes in the movie which u just can't stop adoring..Kajol has got it in her and can really create an entertaining graph of work in the movie..I felt she has played a very realistic role which defines the story of every girl...Amrish Puri is too...good and is really funny just the way he speaks..Rest all are just supporters but the movie is as all of us know a real BIG flick and can give any movie a run for money even today...

Don

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra,Kareena Kapoor,Ishaa Koppikar, Arjun Rampal

Directed by: Farhan Akhtar

Release Date: 20 Oct 2006

10 Jun 2007 Ratings: 4 stars (out of 5)

Don is a very sleek, suave kind of a movie..which is this ultra-hip movie and is very stylish. It's a remake in actuality and is too ahead and has got superb special effects Don stars our very own Shahrukh Khan who's got used to work his charm on the masses..after a long time u'll see SRK in a negative role. The movie is a remake and the later stars Amitabh Bachchan who has his own individual identity and needs no introduction.Priyanka Chopra has this smart look and does OK performance. Rest all are OK with their roles apart from Kareena Kapoor who has done this oomphy item number"Yeh Mera Dil" and is too seductive and is marvellous at what magic she does!! The film is appealing to the younger audiences and is extremely well-executed movie..it's worth watching

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerjee

Directed by: Karan Johar

Release Date: 16 Oct 2004

14 Jun 2007 Ratings: 5 stars (out of 5)

Kuch Kuch..is a college love story and is quite appealing for college-students who tend to get into love..It is Karan Johar's first directorial venture and managed to gross good bucks !!It's a Teeny-Bopper college side romance which happens to our very own Shahrukh Khan who's the male lead in the movie and gets easily diverted towards girls..He's done a really funny role just in between he gets a bit senti..but again in the second half he becomes the same old Rahul in the first half who's got this funny side to his character..then comes Kajol..who's again this flamboyant kind of a girl and yet is Rahul's best friend and loves him but realises late and looses him to Rani Mukherjee who's Anjali in the movie she's this Diva kind of who enters their college and somehow Rahul falls for her and love starts brewing between SRK and Rani..Rani is innocent but still ravishing and unintentionally comes b/w them..She has a done a good job..It's a good movie with groovy dance numbers..It's a classic again!!

Devdas(2002)

  (Hindi Movie)

Cast: Shahrukh khan, Aishwarya Rai, Maduri Dixit, Jackie Shroff.

Directed by: Sanjay Leela Bhansali

Release Date: 12 Jul 2004

14 Jun 2007 Ratings: 5 stars (out of 5)

Devdas is this really classy movie..which is actually a remake but had created rave when it came out..It's got these lavish sets which are really a delight to see and the exotic look the whole movie has..There is perfect characterisation,acting.stars,screenplay,music...etc so perfect..The movie has won tonnes of awards in India and is being applauded all over.. The movie includes BIG star names such as Shahrukh Khan to start with who's done a superb performance and proved he's KING KHAN. Then comes Madhuri Dixit who looked a bit old as compared to Aishwarya Rai but no one could have fitted the character well other than her she did a very candid role.. then is Aishwarya Rai's turn who really is quite gutsy to stand in the same frame with Madhuri and has proved that she's not only beautiful but has got oozing talent... The movie is a blockbuster and is a classic and will remain in our hearts forever....
