Ahh Nandos! Where chicken is a religion... I discovered Nandos in my trips to London - we call going to Nandos a pilgrimage :) So I waited with bated breath when it was announced that Nandos was making its way to Mumbai at Inorbit mall - saw the walls with the Nandos logo and shouted (to my confused friends..) Nandos, Nandos - and they looked at me and said "Eh, who's Nandu?". Anyhoo, I was there in the month it opened and was all ready to compare it to the "Original". Did it pass muster - well, yes and no. The pricing is very reasonable, the menu almost the same, although they have added some "Localised" stuff, and the chicken is great. Whats wrong? The HOT peri peri is just too hot and sometimes unpalatable, the service not so great and the sauces do not seep through like they do in London. But even then, if its spicy chicken you love, and you're nearabouts Malad - go to Nandos, and order the medium peri peri chicken and the peri peri fries. Arm yourself with the lemon and herb sauce and eat with your hands, and don't leave anything!! I went there again and wasnt disappointed :)

Nando's which originated in South Africa, serves Protugese food around the world. Its esteemded Peri=Peri sauce is supposed to be the spicest around. The sauces available are Wild Herbs Sauce, Garlic Sauce, Hot Peri-Peri, Extra Hot Peri-Peri. Although the sauces are spicy they're very enjoyable. They have a very unique spicy flavour to it. The food here is very well cooked and is intended to be mixed with the Peri-Peri sauces which make this place a very unique experience when your battling with the spices. Everything here is well priced and is worth the money spent. Their menu has a wide variety ranging from roasts to Burgers to meals. They also have side, orders, beverages, deserts, etc. A must try is the Half-Chicken and Portuguese Lemonade. P.S. Try the Extra Hot Peri-Peri sauce at your own risk! lol

Spread across 5 continents and 32 countries - Nandos is spreading like wild fire through out the globe! The success they have achieved is of no surprise because the feast offered is SIMPLY MINDBLOWING! The peri-peri sauce is a secret ingredient which they inculcate in the preparation of all their dishes - their Flame Grilled Chicken is ravishing as is the awesome variety of burgers (vegetarian and non vegetarian). And you must try the peri-peri fries- too good! The branch at Inorbit Mall has a very African tribal feel to it- its unique with it's artifacts and large blow-ups giving a customer information about Nandos and its universal appeal! Great ambiance and kudos to their service- impeccable! The food talks for itself but what appealed to me is how this chain of restaurants is like a HUGE welcoming family with a history and legacy to pass on. Just drop in for a meal and become a part of this family :)
