Rasraj Restaurant - Mumbai

Visited this restaurant & tasted hot dog (veg) way back in 1971 when they had a juke box also. After leaving mumbai, visited it on & off to have a quiet beer in the afternoon. Was always put off by the crowd after the renovation. However the week before last, saw no crowd, parked the car & went in. Good friendly service, the hot dog, pav bhaji & potato toast were just as remembered but the chutney with the dosai was runny,,, but all in all a place to visit again.....

If you have studied in mithibai or NM its is like nostalgic feeling for you must visit place to refresh golden collage days. after renovation look is good. Still love there biryani, sambhar, cutlets and cholle bhature. Most amazing part is its pure veg and they still have ham burger in menu for 18 years they have this item do they really know what it means... prices are still low compare to other places. Good place to go if you want a quick eat in reasonable cost.

After the recent renovation, Rasraj has got a cool look. The food is as usual good...specially the south indian and indian stuff. Am sure they would atleast now want to change the cutlery. I am bored of those brown plates. They have also made a standing place for a super quick grub for people in a hurry. I saw this concept working great in Bangalore...wonder why 'time bound' folks in Mumbai never thought of it!
