We are in the early stages of building out a truly unique and useful trusted recommendation platform. You will be entrusted to build out a highly scalable platform, that is performant, as well as flexible and easily adaptable to changing requirements.
We expect you to possess mastery over a large range of subjects, including data structures and algorithms, databases, content management systems, graph theory and data mining. Knowledge and experience in several web related technologies is a must, these range from search engine technologies, to crawling and extraction, caching, content delivery networks. You will be a sound and logical thinker, and possess excellent problem solving and debugging skills. Experience in more than one 4GLs like C++, Ruby on Rails, Java, PHP and Perl is a must, as well as the ability to write correct, optimal, and maintainable code. At least 3-5 years of scars are probably what you need to qualify, but we like fast learners so take a chance with us if you have less but think you are a hotshot programmer.
We expect that you have experience building large scale systems on the web, on the Unix platform. We work in an agile fashion, believe in releasing new features frequently, and fine-tuning them on the fly, based on user feedback. There is close coupling amongst team members, the quality that is valued most here is your ability to be a team player. Interest in restful apis & mobile-web will be received with joyful exclamations. Past experience in collaborative filtering would make us ecstatic.

Your goal would be to research, propose, prototype, design and implement user interfaces that intuitively presents the various features of this unique platform to its users, in a fun and engaging way.
We expect you to be upto speed with current design and interaction paradigms, and possess a sound knowledge of best practices in this space. You will be well versed in Javascript, AJAX, CSS and HTML. We expect your design and code to be compatible on today's major browser platforms. At least 3-5 years of scars are probably what you need to qualify, but we like fast learners so take a chance with us if you have less but think you are a hotshot developer.
